Voltage to sponsor The Bitcoin Layer
Enterprise-grade bitcoin infrastructure company to become the exclusive sponsor of Nik Bhatia's Substack publication The Bitcoin Layer.
Dear readers,
This community just crossed 4,000 members, and I couldn’t be more thankful. The Bitcoin Layer is allowing me to charge ahead as a bitcoin writer and researcher, and your support plays a major role. Today I’m thrilled to announce another vital source of support: Voltage.
Voltage provides enterprise-grade Bitcoin infrastructure. With their easy dashboard and API, you can create nodes instantly, get inbound liquidity, and more. Get a free 7-day trial.
What does this mean for readers?
Readers will see one or two ads, exclusively from Voltage, per post. All content will still be 100% mine, and Voltage does not have any say in editorial matters. I strive to deliver independent, unbiased research, and I believe a partnership with Voltage will allow me to continue to do right by my readers.
Why did I choose Voltage?
Voltage is a Lightning Network and bitcoin infrastructure company. It provides businesses and everyday people tools that assist in the financial empowerment of bitcoin. My favorite thing about the team at Voltage is its contribution to the open source ecosystem. Voltage contributes to LND, Lightning Network’s leading implementation, as well as supporting and donating to various projects and hackathons. You all know that computer science is outside of my realm of expertise, but that doesn’t stop my appreciation for the developers that have built and continue to build bitcoin and Lightning Network software. In the end, I chose to partner with a company that I believe shares the vision of bitcoin as a balance-sheet currency and a network that people and businesses all around the world can use to transact without central banks and intermediaries. Bitcoin starts with its software, and Voltage is a great way for people to spin up their own bitcoin and Lightning Network nodes.
What does Voltage do?
If you’re interested in Voltage’s services, I suggest watching this two-minute video explaining how businesses can start accepting bitcoin in a non-custodial way.
Why is Lightning Network so important?
The past few months have been filled with so much macro, Fed, and geopolitical drama, I haven’t had the opportunity to write as much about Lightning Network (LN) as much as I would have liked. Nevertheless, LN is the very reason I’m here as a bitcoin writer. If this is news to you, I suggest reading my original work on LN and bitcoin from 2018. You’ll find the word “layer” pop up more than a few times! More LN content to come from The Bitcoin Layer as well.
What’s next?
More writing. I enjoy and greatly appreciate all of your feedback. Reply to this email and let me know your thoughts on this sponsorship!
Until next time,
Nik
