really good article Nik thanks! gives us so much to think about, the possibilities are endless, and it’s exciting to envision a future that looks more like that and less like the special interest big brother old guard rent seeking setup that rules today. One potential concern is bad actors, be it in providing / scamming good & services, or in the payment sphere. it’s related to my main concern with a totally anarchic version of mass decentralization…sometimes the structure needs leadership and grown-ups :) and any bad outcomes would surely be overly sensationalized and could slow adoption. not sure how you balance total decentralization with order, but i suppose that’s a bigger / different discussion! thanks again keep up the great work

Fabulous. Imagine a bunch of unhappy Comcast customers grouping up in a “quiet riot” pooling some nanotransactions to fund a DAO that takes concerted action to raise the profile of their issue and get something done about it. The world has been waiting for this infrastructure for far too long. So much is unleashed.

Very nice first article. One question I have though is how this model will evolve with Lighting plug-ins for every game. I guess there are two options:

1) Lightning service providers like Breez get very popular, a lot of gamers start using it and gaming companies are forced through pure popuarlity of the Breez app to provide API plug-ins for it. In this scenario, the gaming company don't charge any fee for all the sats that are being earned ingame by gamers.

==> this puts maximum control in the hands of the users, but could destroy revenue model for the gaming companies

2) gaming companies all start to design their own lightning wallets that gamers can seamlessly sent or widraw sats from. In this model, companies can charge a small fee (lets say 1%) for every sat thats being earned or lost on that specific gaming platform by the user.

==> this gives the gaming companies a little more control and secures revenue stream, but could lead to high fees and rent seeking towards customers.

I wonder which model CS:GO is using right now, not really up to speed on the subject.
